Razip Ismail, who was recently appointed as the new head coach of Pahang FA, has expressed his delight at seeing his team pick up their first three points of the season, thanks to the impressive 4-3 win over Perak last weekend.
The former Harimau Muda boss deemed that night ‘perfect’ after scoring late in the game to clinch all three points and Pahang’s first win of the Malaysia Super League (MSL) season.
“The squad’s poor start to the season (one point from six games) inspired me the lead the team to perform much better in the games to come,” Razip said as quoted by Harian Metro.
“I am relieved with the outcome because it was only my second game in charge and the feeling of winning three points away from home was incredible for the entire team.
“I did not expect us to win because of our recent form but the boys proved themselves and upsetted the home team, who have been defensively sound all season long.”
Dalibor Volas scored a hat-trick to ensure the Elephants bring back home all three points.
