VIDEO: Blaise Matuidi features in brilliant Nike advert

All of us have someone in our lives that inspired us to be who we are today.

Today, we are doctors and pilots and engineers and even sportspeople.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi has revealed that former Bolton Wanderers captain Jay-Jay Okocha was his inspiration to become a football player when he was a kid.

“Jay-Jay Okocha was my favourite player as a young boy. I used to love to watch him play for my team (Paris Saint-Germain),” Blaise Matuidi said as quoted by 101 Great Goals.

“He was the player who lifted the teams and the fans with moments of skill and ability on the ball. Witnessing his moments of brilliance inspired me to make it happen for myself.”

Nike released an advertisement which starred Blaise Matuidi growing up as a kid, working his way through the ranks, playing for Paris Saint-Germain and the French national team.
