Goh Jin Wei bags third senior title at OIC

National badminton shuttler Goh Jin Wei won her third senior title after defeating Fitriani Fitriani in the final of the 2016 Orleans International Challenge in France yesterday.

The 16 year-old showcased an extraordinary performance after coming back from a set down to edge the Indonesian shuttler 15-21, 21-10, 21-7 in 56 minutes.

This is Jin Wei’s third title after winning the Belgian International and Vietnam International.

The 2015 world junior champion’s ranking, which is currently 88th in the standings, is bound to increase this week after her success at the Orleans International Challenge.

“I am grateful to win a gold medal at the Orleans International Challenge. Thank you to those who have constantly supported me,” Jin Wei posted a status on her Facebook page.
