The American league features some of the most famous names in the world — Andrea Pirlo, David Villa, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Kaka and Steven Gerrard. However, a complete stranger in the name of Quincy Amarikwa may have won the gong for goal of the year.
The California-born player lobbed an effort from 30 yards out to score San Jose Earthquakes’ second goal of the night on the verge of half-time against Portland Timbers a week ago.
