Datuk Vida wants broadcasting rights for all PQPTRW games this season

Datuk Seri Dr Hasmiza Othman, commonly known as Dr Vida, has suggested to sponsor the Superbest Power FA Cup and Malaysia Cup to get full broadcasting rights on TV3 this season.

Last night, it was reported that Dr Vida will invest millions of ringgit for the broadcasting rights of the Media Prima Berhad (MPB) television station, TV3 for every game involving Pamoga Qu Puteh The Red Warriors (PQPTRW) throughout the rest of the Super League (MSL) season.

The investment is Dr Vida’s way of allowing the club’s fans outside of Kelantan to not miss any action from the MSL this season, as Media Prima only broadcasts two matches per week.

She said that this can help the development of Kelantan football to continue to compete and increase the commercial value of her squad around the world.

“The deal is at its final stages and there a few things left to discuss. This will be finalized once I return home from China on Saturday to sign the contract with MPB.

“I have been planning this for some time now and it is part of the spending of more than RM20 million to Kelantan. I want all the fans to watch every PQPTRW game this season.

“What I am doing is not a gimmick or an advertisement, but to make a name for Kelantanese football. This is because the Kelantan fans get disappointed every time a PQPTRW game is not broadcasted on television,” Dr Vida said to Berita Harian.

Kelantan face Sarawak tonight at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu.
