Kedah FA to resume control of ticket sales for 2016

The Kedah Football Association (KFA) will return to take over the sale of tickets and season passes from the Kedah Stadium Corporation after it was decided in a meeting recently.

KFA Technical Committee member Shaharol Niza Omar said the association will handle the the sale of season passes and online tickets throughout the remainder of the season.

The first task of his committee is deal with the sale of 120 season passes worth RM500 each. If they all sell out, a request will be put it to add the number of season passes.

“The season pass caters all Kedah’s home games in the Super League (MSL), Superbest Power FA Cup and Malaysia Cup,” Shaharol said as quoted by Sinar Harian.

“The pass holder is guaranteed a seat because all seats have a number and the pass holder will sit on the same seat all season long.

“The season pass can be transferred or replaced if a pass holder fails to attend a match,” he added.

Shaharol Niza also mentioned that the season passes have started selling on Sunday.

In the meantime, eight ticket counters (one counter for women) will open early on matchdays to avoid the fans from queuing and waiting for a long time to buy their tickets.

“In the beginning, we will sell tickets on matchdays but are open to selling a day before the match. If we do, the association will make a public announcement to the fans.

“We encourage the fans to buy their tickets online since it’s easier and there is no need to wait in long all day long, Shaharol added.
