Terengganu Hockey Team (THT) will not stop any of their players who wish to move to another team ahead of the new season.
According to Club President Datuk Wan Ahmad Nizam, their decision is premised on the fact that they won’t be able to match the facilities and financial might of other teams like Sapura.
This statement comes on the back of Muhammad Firhan Ashaari’s move to Sapura. But Wan was quick to also admit that these departures will take a toll on their ability to challenge for the title.
“We cannot stop the players from venturing to a new team as this is for their own good,” he was quoted as saying by Bernama.
“It is indeed affecting the team in terms of squad line-ups, especially when Firhan is unavailable,” he added.
Datuk Wan went to stress that while they are open to players moving in an out of the club, all transfers need to be dealt with in a professional manner.
