Bad news for the fans of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher as recent reports suggests that the seven-time world champion’s health is anything but improving.
Former President of Ferrari, Luca Cordero Di Montezemolo told reporters yesterday that the 47 year-old German’s health is in fact, unfortunately degrading and declines any elaboration regarding the matter.
“I have news and unfortunately it is not good, it’s not good as one would have hoped,” he announced yesterday as quoted from BBC.
Schumacher sustained a serious head injury while skiing in December 2013 and was airlifted to a hospital instantly and was reported to suffer from a traumatic brain injury, hence he was put to a medically induced coma.
After approximately six months, he was discharged from the hospital in Grenoble to undergo further rehabilitation in Lausanne and three months later he was relocated back in his own home for private treatments.
“Everyone said he was a really fast skier. That’s not true, it’s by one of life’s chances that he finds himself still in this condition.”
Schumacher has started 303 races in his 21 year-old career with four different constructors, including Jordan, Benetton, Ferrari and Mercedes. He scored 91 wins out of 155 podium finishes and made history by being the racer with the most championship wins.
Forza Schumi.
