Now if you’re a City fan, you might not want to read this.
Tough luck for Manchester United fans- especially for those that were secretly hoping for Pep Guardiola to become the next manager.
It was officially announced that Manuel Pellegrini would be stepping down as manager of Manchester City and that Guardiola will be taking over the job. The Spaniard had been dropping hints of a move to the English side months ago and with the deteriorating results brought by Louis Van Gaal, United fans (most of them) certain wanted the Dutchman off Old Trafford and hoping for Guardiola’s entrance.
Close call I’d say as Guardiola went to the other side of the town to settle down with the ‘noisy neighbours’, instantly shattering the hopes of the Red Devils’ supporters. Where’s the little tint of glory now?
However, despite the continuous complaint of Van Gaal’s inefficiency, who’s the best man to take over the job?
After Guardiola’s grand welcome to the Premier League under the Sky Blue flag, United fans have been reacting to the news online and certainly had no problem in starting their discussion on how Jose Mourinho would definitely be the right man to handle the team.
That’s right, the Portuguese is once again in demand to kick Van Gaal off the club.
#mufc left behind again. Missed out on Guardiola twice. Ignored Mourinho twice. And overlooked Klopp when he was available. Cash over glory.

City are gonna be one hell of a team under Pep, he was the dream. We really do have to go for Mourinho now or we'll fall so far behind.

Mourinho would transform us completely and we'd be hated and feared once again. He'd return Manchester United to our former glories.
