Kedah assistant coach Ramon Marcote will not be continuing with the 2015 Malaysia Cup finalists as he is looking for bigger offers elsewhere.
“I am grateful to the Kedah Football Association (KFA) for offering me a new contract, but it is not worth as much as my contribution to them last season,” according to former Kedah assistant coach Ramon Marcote as reported by Harian Metro.
“I received an offer to renew my contract on December 23rd, but I told them that I was not interested.
“I managed to guide Kedah to the Malaysia Cup final last season with the absence of head coach Tan Cheng Hoe, who was in China attending a PRO coaching license programme.
“I have been in Kedah for nearly a year, and my family and I have enjoyed our time here. I wish all the players will show their support to Cheng Hoe because he is adamant on continuing the success in 2016,” he said.
Ramon Marcote has said that he will consider other offers from clubs in Malaysia or in Asia.
