The Johor DT squad have safely arrived in Kuwait, ahead of their record-breaking AFC Cup semi-final tie against Qadsia SC on Tuesday.
Mario Gomez and his troops left for the Middle East via Emirates Airlines yesterday, and they safely touched down at the Kuwait International Airport earlier today.
Earlier this month, the Southern Tigers became the first Malaysian side to qualify for the semi-finals of the AFC Cup after defeating Hong Kong’s South China over two-legs.
They were due to face Sarawak in the Malaysia Cup this weekend, though the game was postponed by FAM to allow JDT the time and space necessary for them to prepare for what should be a difficult tie against Qadsia.
