FAM have unveiled Dollah Salleh’s squad for Malaysia’s upcoming games against Bangladesh, UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Having been ripped apart by Palestine last time out, Dollah has opted to shuffle his squad by bringing several new faces, with the most notable one being Perak’s Nurridzuan Abu Hassan – who has been in scintillating form for the Seladangs this year.
Besides that, he has also recalled Kelantan’s Norfarhan Muhammad, after his fine form in recent week, while Amiridzwan Taj has also been included in the squad. Three players from the U-21 squad have also been integrated into the national set-up – S. Kumaahran, Nazirul Naim as well as Syahrul Azwari.
All players will be required to report for national duty on the 23rd of August, with the exception of JDT’s Kunanlan, Safiq Rahim and Amri Yahya – all of whom will join up after the Southern Tigers’ AFC Cup clash, on the 26th of August.
Similarly, four Pahang players have been called up to the squad, though they will only report for training on the 29th of August, upon returning from their AFC Cup tie in Tajikistan.
Malaysia currently occupy the last spot on Group A, having only collected one point from their first two games. They drew 1-1 against Timor Leste, before losing 0-6 to Palestine in the next game.
