Kelantan head coach Azraai Khor Abdullah is hunting for a new striker to spearhead his team, claiming that the current crop of forwards are not good enough to boost their chances of doing well.
Azraai is yet to secure a victory for Kelantan since replacing George Boateng, having loss two games and drawn one thus far. Their latest defeat against Pahang was perhaps the most frustrating one as their failed to score on their home turf.
But with several players currently in Kota Bharu for trial stints, Azraai is determined to sign determined to solve this issue as soon as possible.
“We need to sign a replacement soon. Kelantan needs a striker that is capable of scoring goals, if we are to compete with other teams in the league,” he told Harian Metro.
“I will speak to the Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) about this, and hopefully we resolve this issue before the transfer window closes at the end of this month,” he added.
Should a new forward be snapped up, Kelantan are most likely to drop Emmanuel Kenmogne with Azraai reportedly having a row with the Cameroonian forward recently.
