National number one shuttlers Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong are out of the All England Championship, after they were sent packing by Denmark’s Mads Conrad Petersen and Mads Pieler Kolding in the second round.
The Danish duo wrapped up the second round match in just 37 minutes with an easy 21-15, 21-13 victory over the Malaysian team.
This marks their second major win after they secured a shocking victory over first seeds Lee Yong Dae and Yoo Yeon Seong of South Korea in the opening round.
With V Shem-Wee Kiong out of the equation, Malaysia’s only remaining hope in the competition would be mixed doubles shuttlers Tan Aik Quan and Lai Pei Jing.
Having defeated South Korea’s Kim Gi Jun and Shin Seung Chan in the opening round, they will next face China’s Zhang Nan and Zhaoi Yunlei.
