PDRM’s Azman Adnan relishing tough Selangor challenge

PDRM head coach Azman Adnan claims that his side’s Super League clash against Selangor will be a difficult affair, particularly after the Red Giants’s triumph in the FA Cup.

Selangor haven’t exactly had a solid start to the season, picking up only two points from their first three Super League games. However, Mehmet Durakovic’s men bounced back with a dramatic victory over Felda United in the first round of the FA Cup. And as far as Azman Adnan is concerned, it will be difficult to face a highly motivated Selangor side.

“This Saturday’s clash will be absolutely difficult for us. It will not be easy to play in front of the fanatic Selangor fans and their victory over FELDA would have definitely been a major morale boost,” he told Harian Metro.

“So my players would have to work hard to gain three points on the day. Either way, this will certainly be an explosive match.”

PDRM have adapted to life in the Super League pretty well, and they are currently 3rd in the standings, with six points from their first two games. More importantly, they have already scored 8 goals thus far, which reflects the quality present within their offensive department.

“Alhamdullilah, our attackers have been pretty solid so far. However, we’re not a team that depends on specific individuals. We play together as a unit and I want to see that continuing against Selangor this weekend,” he added.
