Perak head coach Datuk M. Karathu has praised the performances of South Korean attacker Namkung Woong, who has played a key role in their good start to the season thus far.
The Seladangs have attained seven points from their first three Super League game and they also secured a victory in their FA Cup season opener last weekend. And as of now, Namkung is their top scorer with four goals; something that Coach Karathu is absolutely delighted with.
“He has the height as well as the ability to keep the ball, precisely why I opted to put him upfront. And I’m glad that move has worked wonders, because he has been contributing goals for us,” he told Harian Metro.
“As a striker, that should be his goal. And I’m happy to see him doing that regularly within the first one month of the season.”
Namkung’s netted one goal against Sime Darby, before scoring another against LionsXII. He then went on to score two more goals during their FA Cup victory over Shahzan Muda.
Perak will next take on Kelantan this Friday, and they will certainly be boosted by the return of Marco Tulio, who scored their second goal against LionsXII last time out.
