Malaysian Hockey Confederation could have two deputy presidents

The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) is now considering the option of having two positions for the deputy presidency role.

Following the recent MHC saga involving its constitution, the MHC could now open two positions for the deputy presidents role for the election; if the proposal is agreed upon by members of the association during the Extraordinary General Meeting that will be held on the 23rd of March. It will also require approval from the International Hockey Federation (FIH) as well as the Sports Commissioner’s Office.

According to Utusan Malaysia, MHC Vice President Puan Sri Raja Noora Ashikin Raja Abdullah claims that those positions will be filled by one male and one female, should it be approved by all relevant parties.

If things do go as planned, the favourite candidate for the female position will be Raja Noora Ashikin while Datuk Nur Azmi would be the likeliest candidate for the other slot.

Meanwhile, the MHC has also announced a new date for the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will now be held on the 13th of May.
