The future of players and coaches under the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) will now be at the behest of newly appointed technical director Morten Frost.
The former World Number 3 will officially begin his role with BAM on Monday as he seeks to revive the Malaysian badminton scene, which undoubtedly is on a downward spiral.
Morten has been tasked with improving the fortunes of Malaysia and getting them into the top 3 position by 2020 and the process of doing so will ultimately be part of his Key Performance Index (KPI).
As such, he has also been handed the freedom of selecting coaches and players to form of the national set-up that will then be sent for international competitions all over the work.
This is precisely why the contract renewal of Rashid Sidek, Jeremy Gan, Rozman Razak and several other coaches were delayed, with Martin Frost set to make a decision on their future with BAM soon.
