Five-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Khoo Cai Lin is still disturbed by the poor maintenance of public toilets at the National Aquatic Center (NAC) despite issues with other facilities being resolved.
National swimmers and divers have collectively slammed the horrendous condition of facilities at the NAC, which then triggered a response from the stadium management. Most of the facilities have been repaired and upgraded though Cai Lin is still annoyed at the condition of public toilets within the center.
Due to the poor conditions of the public toilet, most visitors have started utilizing the athlete toilets, causing problems such as broken showers, and bad hygiene.
“I just hope that this would be fixed as soon as possible because though it’s small, it is very distracting.” Cai Lin told Harian Metro.
Last month, the national swimming team’s head coach Paul Birmingham also slammed the poor conditions of infrastructure within the NAC, claiming that it affected the swimmers’ training sessions.
