Liverpool to take on Malaysian XI in July

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) have announced that Liverpool will be dropping by the country to take on a Malaysian Selection side as part of their pre-season tour in July.

The Reds recently revealed that they would be flying over to Australia for two pre-season matches against Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar and it now appears that they have added Malaysia to their list of destinations.

The match will take place in July this year, and the Malaysian Selection side will most likely feature the core players from their national U-22 team.

The last time Liverpool visited Malaysia, fans were treated to an exciting encounter filled with goals. The Reds secured a 6-3 victory on the day with goals from Charlie Adam, Maxi Rodriguez (2), David Ngog (2) and Dirk Kuyt. As for Malaysia, their goals were scored by Safiq Rahim and Safee Sali (2).
