South Korean prosecutors have revealed that four-time Olympic medallist Park Tae-Hwan’s doctor will be charged for injecting him with banned steroid.
According to Yonhap news agency, the Olympic swimming, who tested positive in a doping test, blamed his doctor for the scandal.
When Park had asked where the injection contained any harmful drugs that would cause a drug test to turn positive, the doctor claimed that there was nothing to worry about.
And while the doctor may claim that he wasn’t aware of testosterone’s inclusion in the list of banned substances, prosecutors say that it was his professional duty to reaffirm the legality of any content inside a specific medicine that is provided to a patient.
Park’s case will be subjected to a FINA heading, which will be held on the 27th of February in Lusanne.
