Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) Deputy President Datuk Nor Zakaria claims that Datuk Lee Chong Wei’s doping hearing with the Badminton World Federation (BWF) will be done and dusted by this coming March.
The BWF has consistently delayed the scheduled dates for the hearing though Datuk Norza believes that BAM is ready to push and ensure that the hearing is completed by next month.
“I want to settle this as soon as possible.” Norza told Bernama.
“Chong Wei is already going to miss the All England Championship this March and we definitely don’t want him to miss the biggest event which is the 2016 Rio Olympics qualifying round.”
Should Chong Wei be found guilty and is handed a two-year suspension, the Malaysian shuttler is prepared to quit the sport.
