Kobe Bryant set to be out for the rest of the season

NBA star Kobe Bryant will most likely endure a premature end his 19th season with the Los Angeles Lakers due to a shoulder injury.

Bryant will be having undergoing surgery on his torn right rotator cuff, which he picked up while dunking in New Orleans last week. The surgery though, could cause the NBA star to spend several months on the sidelines as he would also have to go through extensive rehabilitation.

“Kobe is probably not going to play again this season” LA Lakers Head Coach Bryan Scott told ESPN.

“We all know how tough he is,” Scott added after Monday’s practice. “He’s a trouper, so we pray for him that his return will be sooner rather than later.”

Should the news be confirmed, this would be the third time that the 36 year-old has ended a season by picking up an injury.
