Chong Wei Feng is through to the quarter-finals of Indian Open after defeating India’s Arvind Bhat.
The 2014 Thomas Cup silver medalist eased through a 21-6, 21-11 victory, which took him merely 26 minutes to accomplish.
The Kedah-born player will next face India’s world number 4 K. Srikanth in the quarter-finals after he defeated Malaysia’s Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin 22-20, 20-22, 21-11.
Srikanth is widely recognized as the man who stunned the world when he defeated Lin Dan to win the China Open last year.
Meanwhile, Malaysian women’s doubles shuttlers Vivian Hoo and Woon Khe Wei also made the quarter-finals after defeating India’s Parssa Naqvi and Saruni Sharma.
