2013 Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has confirmed a four year kit deal with American clothing brand Under Armour bringing his 4 year relationship with sportswear giant Adidas to an end.
It is said that the US brand contract will be worth £15 million ($25 million) over four years.
The 27 year old will be wearing Under Amour’s apparel, footwear and accessories in competitions in which he participates in.
However, Murray will continue to wear his Adidas’ Barricade shoes in competitions as Under Amour is still in the process of developing footwear precisely for the Brit.
“I am very honoured and excited to be joining Team Under Armour and to help them tell their story globally,” said the 27 year old.
“They are committed to providing innovative apparel, accessories, and footwear, with an unmatched focus on training and performance.”
Under Amour has also sponsored the English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, skier Lindsey Vonn and golfer Jordon Spieth.
The 27 year old will begin his contract on Thursday in the Mubadala’s World Tennis Championship exhibition event in Abu Dabi where he wears their kit for the first time.
