Hafiz Hashim open to coaching role under BAM

Despite BAM publicly denying their interest in getting Hafiz Hashim to become a coach under them, the man himself has suggested that he could be open to accepting such a role, if the offer comes up.

BAM was reportedly interested in acquiring his services, before it became apparent that Hafiz was scheduled for an interview with the Badminton Association of Scotland last September.

But with that move off the cards, Hafiz himself is waiting to see if there would be a second call from BAM in the near future.

“I am still waiting to see if there will be a second call since now I am only a coach at club level,” he said as quoted from Utusan.

“If they are willing to give me an offer, of course I will not reject it. After all, I have nothing to do with Scotland right now.”

“If their offer pleases me, why should I reject? Furthermore, it would be better for me if I got to train players of my own country.”

“Moreover, I know many of the young players in BAM and I understand them. This would make the job easier than it is,” he added.
