Kedah FA have reportedly secured a new signing in the form of former Borussia Mönchengladbach striker, Kahê.
The Canaries are looking to build on their impressive showings in 2015 – where they won the Malaysian Premier League title, before emerging as finalists of the Malaysia Cup.
The challenge will be a lot tougher next year, as they will be in the Malaysia Super League, alongside the likes of JDT and Terengganu. But the swift move to secure Kahê, is certainly a statement of intent.
The 33 year-old is set to replace Chidi Edeh, who has been released, despite his excellent form this season. Kahê will partner fellow Brazilian Sandro in Kedah’s offensive department, renewing a partnership that previously thrived in Gençlerbirliği.
According to a source, the chemistry that existed between both individuals played a big part in Kedah’s decision to swoop for Kahê’s signature.
Kahê started his career with Nacional in Brazil, before moving on to feature for the likes of Palmeiras and Ponte Prete. In 2005, he signed for Gladbach and played there for a couple of years before moving to Turkish side Gençlerbirliği in 2007. He went on to play for a host of different clubs in Turkey, before returning to feature for Oeste FC this year/
