There’s a lot at stake when Selangor face Kedah in the Malaysia Cup final tomorrow, but as far as Mehmet Durakovic is concerned, he wants his men to enjoy the game.
The Red Giants are looking to end a 10 year wait for the Malaysia Cup title – with their last triumph coming in 2015 – but they’ll be up against a resilient Kedah side that clinched the Malaysian Premier League title in style, this year.
Durakovic conceded that it’s almost impossible to predict how the tempo would be on the day, though he remains hopeful of a victory.
“We survived an extremely tough tie against Pahang prior to this and now we have Kedah,” he was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.
“We can’t predict what’ll happen on the night. So I’ve asked my players to play like they’ve been doing throughout the season and enjoy the game.
“Anything can happen in the final, but I’m optimistic of claiming a win tomorrow,” he added.
90,000 fans are expected to flood the Shah Alam Stadium for the final tomorrow, with kick off slated for 9 PM.
