Liverpool seem to be hitting Klopp form already!
The Reds were in imperious form last night as they completely thrashed Southampton 6-1 to book their spot in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup.
Sadio Mane got the home side off to a terrific start by scoring within the first 60 seconds of the game. But on the 25th minute mark, Daniel Sturridge restored parity, before Divock Origi made it 2-1, merely four minutes later.
Just before half-time, Origi fired his second goal of the night, to hand Liverpool a 3-1 lead, heading into the break. After the break, Southampton rallied back in search of a comeback, but Origi made it 4-1 on the 68th minute.
Five minutes later, it was 5-1 – thanks to Jordon Ibe. Origi though, capped a sensational performance by netting his fourth goal of the night, four minutes from time, to secure Liverpool’s spot in the semi-finals of the competition, where will be taking on Stoke City.
