Azman Adnan is not on our shortlist – Terengganu FA

Football Association of Terengganu (PBSNT) have rejected speculations linking them with a move for former PDRM head coach Azman Adnan, ahead of the 2016 season of Malasian football.

Various reports have suggested that the 44 year-old is being touted by Kelantan and Terengganu, in a bid to boost their squad ranks next year.

However, President of PBSNT, Datuk Wan Ahmad Nizam Wan Abdul Hamid pointed out that while they are looking for new candidates, Azman Adnan isn’t on their shortlist.

“The news is not true and we would like to deny it,” he told Bernama.

“We will be having a meeting in several days to discuss the team structure for next year. There will be discussion on head coaches as well as new signings who will replace the players at the end of this year.

“We want to build a better squad, and a much improved one as well, to boost our chances of winning something next year,” he added.

The East Coast side finished fourth in the Malaysia Super League, made it to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, before unfortunately finishing third in Group A of the Malaysia Cup this season.
