World No. 2 Nicol David is through to the semi-final of Qatar Classic 2015 after beating Annie Au from Hong Kong in the quarter-final yesterday.
The 32-year-old needed only 23 minutes to book her semi-final spot, beating Annie Au 11-7, 11-4, 11-3.
She is set to face sixth seed Nour El Sherbini from Egypt in the semis, who unexpectedly won defeated Camille Serme from France 13-11, 11-8, 8-11, 11-8 in 52 minutes.
Nour El Sherbini is widely known for beating Nicol in the semis of the 2013 World Championship in Penang, denying Nicol from claiming a hometown triumph.
Meanwhile, fourth seed Laura Massaro from England, who edged over Nouran Gohar 11-8, 11-8, 8-11, 11-6, will face Omneya Abdel Kawy from Egypt in the other semi-final.
