National shuttler Chong Wei Feng knows that he needs to hit top form in his final two tournaments of the year, in order to keep his Rio dreams alive.
The 28 year-old is suffering from a bad run of form in recent weeks, after his early exits at both the French Open as well as the Bitburgen Open in Germany, last week.
The experienced shuttler knows there’s a problem that needs to be addressed and remains determined to fix things before the end of 2015.
“I think I performed better in France, compared to the Bitburger Open, even though I made it to the third round of the tournament.
“I’ve done two tournaments in Europe now, but I don’t think it has helped my ranking in any way. The only way for me to qualify for Rio is to deliver for the next two tournaments,” he told Arena yesterday.
Two final tournaments that Wei Feng will compete in this year is the Hong Kong Open and Macau Open. He is currently ranked 33rd on the Badminton World Federation’s (BWF) Ranking chart.
