Sarawak FA head coach David Usop believes that Sarawak’s hopes of making it to the quarter-final of the Malaysia Cup depends on their ability to beat ATM tomorrow.
The Crocs are currently second on the table, but their 3-0 defeat to JDT in the last game means that there’s only a three point gap between them and ATM as well as Perak.
While they may have the edge as of now, David isn’t keen on seeing his men accrue additional risks.
“We have to make use of the opportunity to collect all three points because the quarter-final slot in the Group B is still wide open,” he told Bernama.
“If Perak beat JDT on Thursday, then we will have to compete with Perak for the final slot on the final matchday.
“At the same time, even though we defeated ATM in the corresponding fixture, we can’t take them lightly.
“We’ve prepared well and it’s good to have out best players available for the game. We just need to work hard and play well to secure the win,” he added.
