Malaysian cyclists will have a pivotal shot at securing a slot for the Rio Olympics, when they compete in the Jelajah Malaysia in December.
The oldest cycling event in the country will be entering its’ 51st edition and will be held from 9th to 13th of December with 16 foreign teams and six local teams competing for honours.
The organiser of Jelajah Malaysia, Peloton Resources, said the national team should make use of the tour to earn valuable points that’ll increase their chances of making it to Rio.
“I am aware of local riders who are working hard by competing in various tours and competitions abroad to qualify for the Olympics,” CEO of Peloton Resources Musairi Musa told Bernama.
“Hence, I hope they make full use of Jelajah Malaysia, by seizing the points they need to get to Brazil next year,” he added.
