Tokio Marine Malaysia chooses to partner with Muar City BC as it shares the Club’s vision in its efforts to promote and develop badminton in Malaysia, with the ultimate aim of making Malaysia regain its place as a powerhouse in the world badminton arena.
(The Club emerged as the champion for the inaugural Malaysia Badminton Purple League in 2014/15 season. To date, Muar City BC has successfully groomed and recruited players locally and internationally such as Korea, Scotland, Sweden, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia)
“Muar City BC is honoured to have Tokio Marine Malaysia, which is a renowned international brand as our main sponsor. We appreciate their sponsorship and with the combined Tokio Marine Malaysia’s support and that of our new professional management team, we are confident that our vision and mission will be attained in the near future,” said Mr. Anthony Lim, Chief Executive Officer of Muar City BC.
The Malaysia Purple League is developed to provide a platform for many young badminton talents in Malaysia who are hungry for opportunities and exposure to showcase their hidden talents. This platform provides opportunities for the private sector to be involved and support the badminton sports with the mission to transform Malaysia to become a strong country in the game.
Tokio Marine Malaysia’s sponsorship in the Malaysia Purple League will help to reinforce its rebranding under “Tokio Marine Insurance Group” due to the tremendous brand exposure as the badminton matches will be broadcasted by Astro.
