Perak FA defender Thiago Junior has reaffirmed his desire to remain with the Seladangs, despite their frustrating season thus far.
The Bos Gaurus have endured a topsy-turvy season, with a late dive in form forcing them to end their Super League campaign on poor terms, and they’ve also continued to struggle in the Malaysia Cup, despite replacing Datuk M. Karathu with Vjeran Simunic.
But as far as Thiago is concerned – despite baffled with their inconsistent form in recent months – he’s keen on staying put in Ipoh for 2016’s season of Malaysian football.
“I’m not too sure what hit us this season, really. At one point we are challenging for the title, but all of a sudden we lost the momentum. Something went wrong somewhere.
“I’m happy here, though. I have been treated well by the management, my teammates as well as the fans.
“Now it all depends on the negotiations. I will let my agent to sort out my status with Perak. If it’s possible, I want to stay,” he told Arena Metro yesterday.
Perak are currently bottom of Group B in the Malaysia Cup this season, having recorded only one win and three defeats, sharing three points with ATM.
