The first round of PGM Kinrara Championship jointly sanctioned by the Asian Development Tour (ADT) has been rescheduled to today due to the persistent haze situation in the local area, according to the tournament officials.
It was earlier scheduled to take place at 7.30 am at the Kinrara Golf Club in Puchong yesterday, but called off after the Air Pollutant Index (API) was in an unhealthy range.
The opening round commenced earlier today morning, with organizers hoping for a better weather condition over the next few days.
With the Olympic Games in 2016 reintroducing gold as a medal sport, players in the region could collect official World Golf ranking points through this tournament, where a total of 102 players are competing in.
