Football Association of Terengganu (PBSNT) wants the Terengganu players to find their form again in the Malaysia Cup if they are keen on staying for the next season.
The Turtles are currently placed in the bottom of Group A with only one point collected from three matches so far.
“We are currently bottom of the group in the Malaysia Cup and we have to consider on the position and the performances of the players before extending their contract for the next season,” PBSNT President Datuk Wan Ahmad Nizam Wan Abdul Hamid told Bernama
“If we want to qualify for the next round, we have to win all of our remaining games. If we lose to Kedah this Saturday, it’s all over.
“After the competition ends, we will discuss this in the performance report meeting that will be held at the end of this month,” he added.
PBSNT have set the target for Terengganu to at least qualify for the quarter-final round of Malaysia Cup and if they failed to qualify, the likes of Abdul Manaf Mamat and Norshahrul Idlan Talaha might leave the team at the end of the year.
