Malaysia continued its’ impressive form at the AFF Futsal Championship after trouncing Singapore 5-0 in Bangkok yesterday.
Malaysia seized initiative on the 9th minute, thanks to Akmal Yazadh, before Syed Aizan added another one on the 22nd minute.
They added three more goals through Saiful Nizam Mohamad Ali on 38th minute, Saiful Aula Ahmad on the 39th minute before Muhammad Fitri Muhamad Yatim rounded it off on the 40th minute.
The win secured Malaysia’s progression into the semis of the tournament, besides also officially booking their slot for next year’s AFC Futsal Championship, which will be hosted in Uzbekistan.
They will be facing Australia in the semis of the AFF Futsal Championship, with Thailand taking on Vietnam in the other tie.
Malaysia opened their campaign by trashing Brunei 9-1 in the opening game last week but they lost 6-1 to hosts Thailand on Saturday before bouncing back to beat Timor Leste 7-2 on Sunday.
