Iranian footballer Hadi Norouzi has passed away earlier this morning at the age of 30.
Norouzi, who plays club football with Persepolis F.C, passed away in his sleep from a heart attack, as confirmed by team manager Mahmoud Khordbin.
The Iranian national team striker was born in Babol, and spent his footballing career with Persepolis in the Iran Pro League.
He joined the club in 2000, representing Persepolis U19 and U21 before eventually making his way up to the first team in 2008.
After spells around the league in between, Norouzi returned to Persepolis before the start of 2014-15 season and was named captain of the club the next season after former captain Mohammad Nouri left the club.
He also made a handful of appearances for Iran national side, under former coach Afshin Ghotbi.
