Formula One hopeful Jazeman Jaafar portrayed great driving in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series after ending the race in third place, during the first race of seventh round which took place in Germany on Saturday.
The 22 year-old’s podium finish was helped by a good start during the qualifying rounds as he started in sixth grid position.
However, he failed to maintain his momentum in the second race as he ended in a mere 17th place.
“Getting a podium finish is a good achievement, I’m glad I had a solid start. It’s never easy as it looks because I have to maintain my position till the end of the finishing line,” said Jazeman, as quoted by Arena Metro.
Talking about the second race, Jazeman voiced out his disappointment: “I have given my best. Sometimes unexpected things happen during the real race, so we have to accept it and move on.”
Jazeman, representing Fortec Motorsports, is currently occupying fourth spot in the overall standings after seven rounds, with 106 points.
The next race is scheduled to take place in Le Mans, France, from 25th to 27th September.
