Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar expressed his disappointed with the crowd trouble that took place during the World Cup Qualifying match between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia at Shah Alam Stadium yesterday.
The score line was at 2-1 in favour of Saudi Arabia on the 88th minute before flares were thrown and fireworks were floating around the stadium, forcing the match to be abandoned.
Khairy immediately took to Twitter to release a statement, claiming he was present within the stadium at the time and felt embarassed with how thins unfolded.

FAM lost control of their own stadium. Fans throwing flares were wrong. Both at fault tonight.

Meanwhile, FAM have reportedly been ordered by FIFA to provide DVD copies of last night’s game. They are expected to analyse the game thoroughly before deciding the outcome of it as well as the punishment that will be handed to FAM.
