Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah will step down as the President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).
Following a historic 10-0 loss to the United Arab Emirates on Friday, Tengku has voiced out on his resignation, which also saw head coach Dollah Salleh quit the national team.
Discussions will be held, however, between the Tengku Abdullah and members of the body regarding the stages of his exit.
Deputy president Datuk Seri Afandi is set to take charge temporarily for now.
