Terengganu FA have announced that Gustavo Lopez has signed a new one-year contract with The Turtles.
The announcement was made through the Terengganu FA official social media account, ending speculations that were linking him with an exit from the East Coast side.
This was shortly after Gustavo Lopez controversially demanded an increase in his salary, before revealing that he was also negotiating with two other teams.
Despite that, he did reiterate his desire to remain in Kuala Terengganu next year. TFA’s decision to match his demands signals their intent to challenge on all fronts in 2016.
Gustavo Lopez joined Terengganu from Indonesian club, Arema Cronus earlier this year.
