Liverpool made it two wins out of two after sealing a rather nervy 1-0 win over Bournemouth last night.
Despite being massive favourites for the game, Liverpool struggled to contain the threat posed by the newly-promoted side, early on in the game. In fact, Bournemouth even had the ball in the back of the net within the first 15 minutes, but the goal was unfortunately ruled out for a controversial foul that took place in the build up.
But that wasn’t the only controversy of the night. On the 36th minute mark, Christian Benteke opened his Premier League account for Liverpool and it was rather controversial as well.

As you would have observed in the video, Philippe Coutinho was clearly in an offside position when the ball was curled into the box. Now if this was to happen last year, the goal should and would have stood clearly. But under the new offside rule that was introduced this season, this goal appears to not be a legitimate one.
But the referee went on to allow it and Liverpool capitalized on that to seal a victory that allowed them to preserve their 100% record thus far, this season.
