Zulfadli Zulkifli continued his good form at the ongoing World Championship by powering into the third round, after sealing a straight sets win over Ireland’s Scott Evans.
Having dispatched Taiwan’s Tien Chen Chou in the first round, Zulfadli came into this match with his confidence at an all-time high. He sealed the first set 21-16, before continuing to push in the second set, claiming a 21-13 win to wrap up the entire match.
The win takes him into Round 3, a no mean feat, considering that his ability to make an impact in this tournament was questioned by Badminton Association of Malaysia’s Morten Frost recently.
Meanwhile, Amelia Anscelly and Soong Fie Cho are also through to the third round of the women’s doubles after cruising past Bulgaria’s G Stoeva-S Stoeva 21-17, 21-14.
