Pandelela: I’m motivated to improve ahead of Rio Olympics

Pandelela Rinong Pamg is on a mission to toughen up mentally and physically ahead of the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Malaysian diving queen was seen returning from her vacation in London, fresh from her bronze medal achievement in the World Aquatic Championships in Russia, which provided her automatic qualification to Rio.

“As a start, next month I will be participating in the Asian Diving Championship Cup and the Malaysia Diving Championship in Kuala Lumpur. For me, calmness in the mind and getting your body ready is as important as the need to win.”

“These two qualities will be crucial in making sure my training process goes on smoothly. I have to work harder compared to the other athletes, which will make a difference in the end.”

“Also, my London vacation has provided me enough rest and I’m motivated more than ever now,” she told Berita Harian, after arriving at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
