Real Madrid star Gareth Bale showed no mercy against his former club Tottenham Hotspur as he netted a brilliant solo goal during their Audi Cup clash yesterday.
James Rodriguez handed Madrid the lead at the Munich Arena yesterday, but Bale visibly stole the attention, picking up the ball, driving forward confidently, before firing a shot that beat Michael Vorm to make it 2-0.
He wheeled away, pointing both hands downwards, to suggest that he wouldn’t celebrate. But as Bale’s colleagues flocked towards him, the Welsh winger produced the customary heart-shaped gesture with his hand, indicating his delight with what was a fine goal.
