Sapura Hockey Club manager Louis Gregory said that after years of being overshadowed by the likes of Kuala Lumpur Hockey Club (KLHC) and more recently the Terengganu Hockey Team (THT), he and his charges will be aiming to go back to its glory days.
New recruits Muhammad Imran,Haseem Khan, Kashif Ali and Azfar Yaqoob will all provide necessary experience and dynamism with Sapura HC and Gregory is excited with the quality of what the new players will bring to the team.
“I do admit that we are undergoing some huge transformations. We want to return to period when we dominated Malaysian hockey.” Gregory said, as quoted by Harian Metro.
“For this season in particular, we want to see an increase of performance of every player and if we manage to win a trophy, then that will be fantastic.”
After last season’s dominance, THT will be looking to face stiff competition from their rivals who have all strengthen their team.
