Manchester United continued their pre-season preparations with a comfortable 3-1 win over San Jose earlier today, with Memphis Depay scoring his first goal for the club.
The summer signing from PSV Eindhoven has been praised for his attitude in training, particularly by his fellow teammates. While we did not see much of him in their first pre-season match against Club America last week, Depay was far more influential this time around, playing just behind Wayne Rooney as a support striker.
Juan Mata initially broke the deadlock, before Depay made it 2-0 with a clinical finish just moments later. San Jose managed to pull one back just before half-time, though Andreas Perreira added a third goal to ensure a comfortable win for the Red Devils
